NVIDIA launched a new generation of RTX 40 graphics cards, using Ada Lovelace GPU, TSMC 4N process, and launched RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 graphics cards.
The RTX 4090 Founding Edition has not changed much in appearance. With 24GB GDDR6X memory, the performance can be improved by 2-4 times compared to the RTX 3090 Ti.
The RTX $4090 is priced at $1599 and will go on sale on the 10th/12th.
The RTX 4080, like the previous news, will launch two specifications of the RTX 4080 16GB GDDR6X and the RTX 4080 12GB GDDR6X.
The performance is 2-4 times faster than the previous generation RTX 3080 Ti. In terms of price, the RTX 4080 16GB is priced at $1199, and the RTX 4080 12GB is $899. It is expected to be launched in November.
The Ada Lovelace GPU used in the RTX 40 has a new generation of Shaders that can reach 90 Shader TFLOPs, a third-generation RT Cores that can reach 200 RT TFLOPs, and a fourth-generation Tensor Cores that can reach 1400 Tensor TFLOPs performance.
Another new technology “DLSS 3”, the new version seems to use the neural network to accelerate the optical of the game. After DLSS 2 generates high-resolution images, it will accelerate the continuous images through the Optical Flow, and provide the Optical Flow Field to the game. The neural network feeds back, and finally generates the game image.
In the event, 2077 was used to demonstrate the performance of DLSS 3.
At the same time, Microsoft Flight Simulator will also support DLSS 3 acceleration technology.
In short, NVIDIA is regarding to launch a new generation of RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 graphics cards, but the editor is more interested in DLSS 3 technology, and I look forward to sharing the performance ban with you later.
