Over the past two days, social media has been invaded by a video showing a funny reaction of the Russian President Vladimir Putin In the form of the salutation delivered by the Turkish presidential spokesman, Ibrahim Kalin, at the Shanghai Cooperation Summit in the Uzbek city of Samarkand.
The greeting was represented by “kisses on the cheek” for Putin to interact with spontaneously and later ask his Turkish counterpart regarding it. Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
While this reaction ignited a kind of Russian-Ukrainian media war, dozens of Ukrainian accounts on social media published the video clip mocking Putin’s reaction, considering it “impolite.”
On the other hand, the Russian media responded, stressing that it was just a funny joke!
“productive” meeting
It is noteworthy that Putin and Erdogan spoke briefly last Thursday on the sidelines of the Shanghai summit. The Turkish president described his meeting with his Russian counterpart at the time as “fruitful”, hoping for “good results.”

That summit was officially launched in the ancient city of Samarkand in Uzbekistan, last Friday, amid escalating tension between Russia on the one hand and the West on the other, which prompted Putin to call for the establishment of “new centers of influence” in the world!
