He stated that the main reason they decided to leave was because of the sanctions.
The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, rejected what was said by Joe Biden, the first president of the United States, regarding Creole migrants.
He affirmed that “more than half of the population that migrated between the years 2018-2021 have returned to Venezuela” and that they are doing “very well.”
“Biden lies regarding Venezuela, lies regarding the number of Venezuelan migration and intends to criminalize it,” he launched.
He pointed out that there is a manipulation campaign on Venezuelan migration, as well as from Latin America and the Caribbean.
He demanded “that the issue of migration not be manipulated any further, the vast majority that left have returned, are working and are doing better than in other countries,” he insisted.
“We are in a permanent effort to recover Venezuela little by little,” he said and said that the reason they decided to leave the country was because of the sanctions.
