Miguel Pichetto on Cristina and Macri: “I don’t see a dialogue between two central figures as impossible”

Former Senator and Vice Presidential Candidate Miguel Picketto He said he doesn’t see impossible a dialogue between Mauricio Macri and Cristina Kirchner. “There is a scenario that can open a path of violence and I think that both of them are facing a responsibility. There has to be a five-point agenda, with a secular dialogue. And they have to order their internal ranks in Kirchnerism”, he said during Argentine Odyssey, the program hosted with Carlos Pagni, on LN+.

“Mujica and Sanguinetti got together in Uruguay to make a book, two opposing visions do it in a friendly way. Moncloa in Spain would not have been possible if Carrillo did not sit at the table with the right-wing shooter of the civil war”, he added. But he clarified: “I did not discuss this with Macri, I take responsibility for what I say.”

In the interview, Pichetto added that in Argentina a “profound” cultural change is needed. “We have to keep the word, we have to go out with the work culture,” he added. And he questioned the “change of rules” and commitments with the Central Bank’s measure on the soybean dollar. “It’s lethal,” he asserted.

Pichetto referred in critical terms to the Mapuche and certain “priests” who oppose the mining activity. “There are gold mines in Río Negro. Mendoza also has problems with GDP. On the other side of the mountain range they export billions of dollars. In Mendoza, when they had the chance to do mining, they made a withering and backtracked. In Chubut they burned down the government house. Governor’s mistake, I would have poured more gasoline and put everyone in prison, ”he analyzed. And he indicated: “There are intense minorities that have the favor of the media.”

The production model of Argentina, said Pichetto, should be at the dialogue table between the main leaders. “There are priests who say that property is a secondary right,” he complained.

On the latest events in the country, the Auditor General of the Nation said that he sees it “becoming more complex.” In particular, he referred to the attack on the vice president and although he said that “no one can ignore the seriousness of the event”, he stated: “I think there are some questions, who would have benefited if the bullet had come out? Those who believe in the system? Those who suggest that next year Argentina has to go to elections? clearly not. Those who appear on the surface seem marginal actors. The Argentine problem is that it doesn’t go beyond Rasta”.

Along the same lines, he recalled the attack on the vice president’s office in the Senate of the Nation and questioned that there are still no conclusions of the official investigation. “That was a premeditated attack. They even threw a paint bomb at it to indicate the floor where they had to throw the stones. It was a group with logistics and organization that broke away from a column that was in front of the square. This topic is very interesting and here we see the shortcomings of the judicial system”, Picketto said.

Asked regarding the climate in Argentina, the former senator analyzed that there are sectors that come from the past that are “resentful.” “In a very short time, there were two apparitions that They are two ghosts from the past. I call it ‘the return of the sorcerers’. Appears in a very long report Fernando Vaca Narvaja, vindicating the Montonero counteroffensive and saying that the dictatorship fell because of the counteroffensive. That he also advises the Mapuches together with other Montonero leaders. then appears Mario Firmenich with a letter that speaks of the civil war and speaks of the failure of the neoliberal capitalist system that all governments had. He also punishes Kirchnerism for being within the system that produces exclusion, poverty. There is a set of data from that letter that is incredible. It proposes a revolutionary and plebiscitary exit model and the destruction of the capitalist system, a break with all international organizations. He raises very strong things and they tell me, I have versions, that he comes to Argentina quite often, that he enters in a hidden way and that he continues to gravitate next to leaders who have recognized their belonging to Montoneros”.

“What I think is that the Montonero and Firmenich scheme is resentful of history and the appearance of Kirchnerism that occupied the space of the popular center-left. They are resentful that there is no recognition,” Pichetto said. And he explained: “As Perón was a wall once morest communism, building the third position proposing national capitalism, deep down I think there are more radicalized sectors that have stuck to Kirchnerism now that they want something else. Also, it is true that they have a certain resentment with history, having occupied that space and that they did not recognize the democratic recovery. they were part of the tragedy, they cannot implore things that are not going to happen”.
