ABU DHABI, 19 September / WAM / His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, confirmed that holding the annual meeting of the International Organization for Standardization 2022 in Abu Dhabi, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, is in line with the Ministry’s efforts to benefit from global expertise and review the successful experiences achieved by the UAE In the field of quality infrastructure, in addition to building and documenting partnerships with various competent national and international bodies.
In his statements on this occasion, His Excellency said: “In line with the directives of the wise leadership, the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology is keen to provide a legislative and legal system that supports the development of national capabilities in the field of standards and standardization, which is an essential pillar in the process of building a distinguished and highly competitive national industrial sector.”
His Excellency pointed out that the quality infrastructure is a key factor for the success of the “Make in the UAE” initiative, which works to achieve a set of goals that include enhancing the competitiveness of national products and expanding the prospects for their growth and development locally, regionally and globally.
His Excellency explained that international cooperation in the field of standardization enhances the quality of our national industries, in line with the goals of “Made in the Emirates” and achieving the goals of the national strategy for industry and advanced technology.
