Thiruvananthapuram: Actor Suresh Gopi inaugurated the sale of tickets for the India-South Africa Twenty20 cricket match to be held at Kariyavattam Sports Hub (Greenfield Stadium) on September 28. Federal Bank Deputy Vice President and Regional Business Head A Harikrishnan received the first ticket from Suresh Gopi. This is the first match of the India-South Africa Mastercard Twenty20 series.

Upper tier ticket price is Rs 1500. Students will get 50% discount. The ticket price for students will be Rs.750. Tickets can be booked only through the respective educational institutes for student concessions. Concession tickets required by educational institutions should be booked in advance by contacting the Kerala Cricket Association.

2750 rupees for the pavilion and 6000 rupees for the KCA grand stand including food. Online ticket sales started from 7.30 pm on Monday. Tickets are sold through www.paytminsider.in. Ticket price is inclusive of GST and Entertainment Tax. One person can buy 3 tickets from one mail id. KCA has reached an agreement with Akshaya Kendras to buy tickets online. The needy can purchase tickets through Akshaya Kendras in the state.

Kerala Cricket Association President Sajan K Varghese presided over the function held at Hotel Taj Vivanta. Indian star Sanju Samson was honored at the event. Chief guest former MP Panniyan Ravindran spoke regarding Sanju’s contributions. A short film regarding Sanju’s sports career was released at the said event. KCA President Sajan K. Varghese, former Kerala Cricket Team Captain Sonny Cheruvathur, BCCI Level 3 Coach Biju George, Thiruvananthapuram Chamber of Commerce Vice President Raghuchandran Nair, LNCP Sai Principal G. Kishore spoke in praise of Sanju Samson.

At the ceremony, Sanju Samson handed over the memorandums of understanding with the competition’s banking partner Federal Bank, ticketing partner Paytm Insider (Paytminsider.in), medical partner Ananthapuri Hospital and scoring right partner PepsiCo. BCCI Joint Secretary Jayesh George, Kerala Cricket Association Secretary Adv Sreejith V Nair, KCA Vice President Jaffer Seth, Joint Secretary Adv Rajith Rajendran, T20 General Convenor Vinod S Kumar and others were present.

Both the teams will reach Thiruvananthapuram on 26th. The teams stay at Leela Ravis, Kovalam. KCA informed that BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jai Shah will attend the match.
