ATP: Alcaraz-Ruud-Nadal podium unchanged
The young Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz begins his second week on the throne of world No.1 on Monday, ahead of the Norwegian Casper Ruud and Rafael Nadal, in an ATP ranking largely unchanged in the absence of a tournament on the main circuit.
The past week has indeed been largely devoted to the Davis Cup, which does not distribute ATP points, and no movement is therefore recorded in the rankings in the Top 50.
After his triumph at the US Open on September 11, Alcaraz (19) begins his second week in the shoes of No.1, ahead of his unfortunate finalist at Flushing Meadows, the Norwegian Casper Ruud, and the “king” Nadal.
To find a significant change, you have to go down to 64th place: Frenchman Corentin Moutet moves up 20 places thanks to his final victory at the challenger tournament in Szczecin, Poland.
Quebecer Félix Auger-Aliassime is still 13th.
