The First Vice President of the AFC, President of the Lebanese Basketball Federation, Akram Halabi, and President of Saint Joseph University (Beirut), Father Salim Daccache, signed a 3-year cooperation agreement, during which the aforementioned university, through its Physical Therapy Department, will conduct statistics on injuries suffered by players during exercises and matches in All Lebanese championships for all grades (men and women).
The signing of the agreement came during a ceremony held at the university’s headquarters, in the presence of Halabi and Daccache, the Secretary General of the Lebanese Basketball Federation, Lawyer Charbel Michel Rizk, the head of the Physical Therapy Department at the university, Dr. Pascal Brady, the physical therapist for the Lebanese men’s team, the university lecturer, Dr. Khalil Nassar, and a number of university officials.
This unique step comes within the framework of strengthening scientific research on injuries on basketball courts. Halabi and Daccache expressed their happiness for this bilateral cooperation between the Basketball Association and Saint Joseph University.
