The Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has a policy to create opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to access financial services more conveniently. According to the master plan under the 20-year national strategy (2018 – 2037), by improving the rules on the issuance of SME shares to open up fundraising channels for SMEs to be able to raise funds in many channels. This includes offering shares to companies in the issuer’s group.

The SEC has, therefore, revised the rules on underwriting securities for underwriters. (underwriter) as approved by the Capital Market Supervisory Board At the meeting No. 2/2022 on February 15, 2022 to amend the restrictions on the allocation of underwriter’s securities in accordance with the above-mentioned rules for issuing SME shares. It is effective from 16 September 2022 onwards.
