Remember that the agency Fitch Rating declared recently that the agreement initialed by the government and the UGTT on wage increases should speed up negotiations with the IMF. In addition, the general secretary of the UGTT has said publicly that the increases granted by the government have been validated by Tunisia’s main donor. Which means that theoretically all the obstacles are removed and that Tunis can reasonably expect good news from Washington…
