Yesterday, Sunday, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz held talks with UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed on regional policy, security and economic issues of common interest, at the headquarters of the UAE Embassy in Tel Aviv.

In a tweet via his Twitter account, Gantz said, “As we celebrate two years since the signing of the historic “Abraham” agreements (normalizing relations between Israel and the UAE), I had the pleasure of meeting with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed.

He added that his meeting with the UAE Foreign Minister focused on regional politics, security and economic issues of common interest.

“I reiterated during the meeting the need to maintain regional stability and developments on the Palestinian arena,” he added.

It is noteworthy that the UAE Foreign Minister began last Wednesday an official visit to Israel that will last for several days, accompanied by a high-ranking official and economic delegation.

Last Thursday marked the second anniversary of the signing of the agreement to normalize relations between Israel and the UAE, announced by former US President Donald Trump.

The Emirati minister met last Thursday with Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Yair Lapid, before he organized a party at the UAE embassy in Tel Aviv to mark the two-year anniversary of the signing of the agreement to normalize relations with Israel.
