Several videos recorded the first moments during the earthquake of magnitude 6.9 in Taiwan, during the day of this Sunday, September 18. In the audiovisual pieces it is seen how some roofs collapse and how some trains were derailed by the strong movement.

The telluric movement caused the derailment of a train, the fall of houses and buildings, and the death of a person crushed by machinery.

According to what was reported by the United States Geological Surveyshortly before 3:00 p.m. local time (3:44 a.m. in Chile) this Saturday, a 6.9 earthquake shook the territory of Taiwan.
Although the entity initially reported that the magnitude of the movement was 7.2, it later corrected the value downwards.
For now, the authorities have only registered one deceased, due to the fall of machinery and dozens of people who had to be rescued from the multiple collapses of buildings 42 kilometers from the city of Taitun.

Because the earthquake that affected the island of Taiwan was in broad daylight, there are several videos that show what the first moments were like.
For example, one record reveals the exact moment a roof collapses while children play sports, and another shows the movement of earth from a motorcycle on a hill.

Similarly, several buildings collapsed, forcing Taiwanese rescue personnel to search for people who may have been trapped following the earthquake.
And in the same way, it was reported that 20 people were rescued following the derailment of a passenger train.
