The U23 youth women’s 500kg team won the gold medal in the final of the 2022 Outdoor Tug-of-War World Championships today.
The 2022 Outdoor Tug-of-War World Championships will be held in the Netherlands and will be divided into open competitions and championships. The former will compete in the form of clubs, while the championships will be organized by countries. Taiwan has scored 1 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze in the open competition. Three medals were earned, including the gold medal of the Taiwan women’s 500kg team, the silver medal of the Taiwan U18 men’s 560kg team, and the bronze medal of the Taiwan U23 youth mixed 560kg team.
The outdoor tug-of-war world championships entered the final day of the competition today, and the Taiwan U23 youth men’s 600kg team finished seventh earlier.
The Taiwan U23 youth women’s 500kg team continued the momentum of winning gold in the Open Championship a few days ago. They were not afraid of the rain on the spot. Today, the championship advanced to the top four with a complete victory. Taking the gold medal is also the second gold medal for the Taiwan team in the championship.
The Taiwanese women’s 540kg team will play later and have the opportunity to add another medal for Taiwan.
