In Salzburg’s Pinzgau, the emergency services are required to carry out three separate search operations. After a woman had been searched for in the area of Lake Zell since Saturday followingnoon, a search for a 57-year-old Pinzgauer who had not come home from work started during the night. A 22-year-old has been reported missing in Kaprun since the morning hours.
The 57-year-old left his workplace at around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, but did not come home. At 10 p.m. he was reported as missing, said a police spokeswoman for the APA. The Bramberg, Hollersbach and Mittersill fire brigades, water rescue and police began searching. The man’s bicycle was found on an embankment of the Salzach. He had been traveling between Mittersill and Bramberg.
“Depending on the weather, a police helicopter or a flying drone will reinforce the search of the emergency services today,” informed the Pinzgau civil protection officer Manfred Höger: “This morning’s activities are concentrated on the area around the Gries power plant in the municipality of Bruck an der Glocknerstrasse,” reported Höger where the stakes converge.
On Sunday, the search will continue on Lake Zell for a woman whose clothes were left on the shore of Lake Zell on Thursday or Friday. Water rescue, Red Cross and fire brigade from Zell am See were in action yesterday with divers and sonar devices.
In addition, since the morning hours, the police in Kaprun have been looking for a 22-year-old man who did not return to the group he was with during the night.
