With many iPhone 14 Pro users officially becoming the owners of “Dynamic Island” (congratulations). In the first wave of experience, many people seem to think that Apple has completely abandoned the one-handed experience of the iPhone. Now it seems that Apple’s island and screen digging are indeed not a “necessary connection” but just overlap (huh). Because through the latest iOS beta version, the one-handed mode of the system has officially included the capsule shortcut display column of the dynamic island into the scope of auxiliary functions. Continue reading iPhone dynamic island can also support “one-handed mode”, and it has become two islands (huh) in the report.
iPhone dynamic island can also support “one-handed mode”, becoming two islands (huh)
In our iPhone 14 Pro Max quick experience, we talked regarding the fact that the capsule display function of the dynamic island has long been seen in many corners of the Apple ecosystem. So I think that such an experience may not necessarily have to be tied to what many people think of as a “defective” hole-punch screen. But Apple did not support such an experience with the one-handed touch-friendly “above-screen touch” accessibility feature when the new experience was first launched. It makes people feel that maybe the so-called dynamic island is just a product of simply trying to block the hole in the screen, which leads to the problem of inconsistent one-handed experience.
However, Apple was quick to tell everyone through the latest iOS beta that everything is not as everyone imagined. Because of the dynamic island experience, it is possible to dig holes away from the screen – Own two islands at once, earn!
In the latest iOS 16.1 beta version (the Public Beta version has also been pushed, and the editor has played it). As long as you have activated the system’s “Settings > Accessibility > Touch on top of the screen” function. This gesture can “slide down” to the bottom system function bar to move the upper half of the screen to the lower half, which is the so-called one-handed mode. The control display bar for dynamic islands is now also officially supported.
As for the way to achieve it, it is to move the black capsule block covering the bottom of the screen hole to the center of the screen together. And all the functions and display images that can be played on the dynamic island can also be achieved through this capsule – specifically, the experience should be better, following all, the sensing range of the touch is more comprehensive, and the selfie lens will not be poked ( Does this solve the problem of fear of the lens being dirty?).
This design not only relieves many people’s doubts regarding Apple’s innovation but ignores the one-handed experience of the large screen. On the other hand, since the dynamic island can exist out of the hole-digging area, it means that it should be the same as the previous iOS or even watchOS capsule notification experience, and it may not be necessary to have a hole-digging screen in the future to provide such a quick display function.
It is estimated that in the real full-screen era, Apple should also provide users to choose whether to hide or activate such a function that combines display and multitasking operations?
