Minnesota recruits PJ Dozier

Ten days before the resumption of training, ESPN reports that Wolves have registered a new signing, and it is PJ Dozier (1m98, 25 years old). Former player of the Nuggets, he will find there his former manager, Tim Connelly, who became president of the franchise at the beginning of the summer, but also his former teammate Austin Rivers.

After a great 2020/21 season, this rear-winger was broke on the rise on November 23 with a ruptured knee ligament. A blow for a player in his last year of contract. To make matters worse, the Nuggets then traded him to the Celtics to recover Bryn Forbes from the Spurs. A few weeks later, once more since Boston had chosen to send him to the Magic. Worse, Orlando executives had cut him off.

A disrupted workforce

Today he is fully recovered, and he’s going to have training camp to prove he belongs in the Wolves rotation. Ironically, he will be competing with Rivers, but also Forbes for playing time behind D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards.

very ambitious, Wolves hit hard this summer by signing Rudy Gobert, but also Kyle Anderson, from the Grizzlies. They also lost several good players like Malik Beasley, Jarred Vanderbilt, Josh Okogie and Patrick Beverley.
