Bhopal – Prime Minister Narendra Modi is emotional that he might not visit his mother and receive her blessings on her birthday. The Prime Minister, who celebrates her 72nd birthday today, spoke regarding her mother while addressing a convention of women self-help groups (SHGs) in Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh.
“Usually I visit my mother on my birthday and take blessings at her feet. But today, many mothers in Madhya Pradesh have blessed me,” Modi said in his speech. On every birthday, Modi visits his mother Heera Ben at his home in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, and receives her blessings.
This time I was unable to visit my mother due to busy schedule. On Saturday morning, Modi arrived at Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park to attend the SHG convention following releasing cheetahs brought from Namibia.
In his speech, Modi said that between the last century and this century, the representation of women in the country has increased and women have reached the post of President from village administrations.
