Quantic Dream sticks to core principles with Star Wars Eclipse
Developers have always been known to tell games with a very strong story. Regardless of whether Beyond: Two Souls, Heavy Rain or last Detroit: Become Human, this in our test was able to get top marks. The plot and characters in Quantic Dream are always incredibly compelling. In an interview with IGN the studio’s CEO, Guillaume de Fondaumiere, spoke a bit regarding Star Wars Eclipse.
One feature in particular that has made Detroit: Become Human so successful is something they want to continue to hold on to. It should also be possible in Eclipse to play multiple characters.
“At Star Wars Eclipse we will certainly keep the fundamental elements of a Quantic Dream game, a very strong story, very strong characters, multiple playable characters and of course giving the player the opportunity to change things through their choices and actions as the story unfolds.”said de Fondaumiere in an interview.
Star Wars Eclipse remains an action-adventure at its core
However, the Quantic Dream CEO also makes it very clear that, at its core, this is a Action-Adventure with all of the associated gameplay elements. So the lightsaber action will not be neglected. In addition, de Fondaumiere insists that they do not want to copy earlier works, but to further develop the previous successful concept. And who knows, the developers might even say goodbye to their beloved Quick Time Events.
