a big leak suggests a very nice surprise

The German site WinFuture thinks it has gotten its hands on the technical sheet of the Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro. The most premium version would include a 200 megapixel sensor and Qualcomm’s best processor.

Launched in March 2022, the Xiaomi 12 should welcome new iterations by the end of the year. Already last Augustit was rumored that Xiaomi was preparing its successors behind the scenes with two so-called “T” versions, as was the case with the Xiaomi 11. Here, it would therefore logically be the Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro.

The German site WinFuture also believes to know a large part of their technical data sheet, price and release date. On paper, the two phones would share a number of features: 6.67-inch OLED screen, 2,712 x 1,220 pixel definition, 120 Hz refresh rate, 5,000 mAh battery or even 120 W charging — 67 W is not to be excluded on the 12T.

The best of Qualcomm

In addition to their 20-megapixel selfie camera, the duo would opt for a plastic chassis that might be described as surprising given their supposed price positioning: 849 euros for the Pro version, 649 euros for the classic. At this price, and especially for the 12T Pro, we expect the phone to taste a finer material. We imagine that Xiaomi gave in to a small concession to contain the price in the face of current inflation.

The more high-end model would then stand out on two points: the nature of its processor, a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 in this case, coupled with 8 or 12 GB of RAM. We are dealing here with Qualcomm’s best processor to date, until the presentation of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 on next November 14.

Also and above all, the Xiaomi 12T Pro would have a main sensor of 200 megapixels (f / 1.69). It would still not have exclusivity in the matter, since the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra stole it from him in September 2022. Finally, we would have to rely on an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel macro.

An imminent presentation?

The Xiaomi 12T shows a little more modesty in terms of performance, given its probable Mediatek Dimensity 8100 chip. the same would be part of it. The ultra wide-angle and the macro would be identical to the Pro version.

WinFuture advances a more or less imminent presentation date, since this pair might be formalized during the week of September 19. In principle, this estimate makes sense. In 2021, the Xiaomi 11 and 11T Pro had been introduced on September 15.
