On Sunday, September 18, 2022, the five-day global meeting of the space community begins. Agencies, industry and scientists discuss the current status of space travel and astronomy in interdisciplinary panels, scientists present their latest findings and international representatives from politics and space management give an outlook on future developments. Around 6,500 trade visitors from 97 countries take part, 4,800 specialist contributions were selected for the congress, 250 exhibitors show their products and programs. Raumfahrer.net reported.

Of the 73. International Astronautical Congress 2022 in Paris is under the motto: “Space for @ll”.
The congress starts on Sunday September 18th and lasts until Thursday September 22nd, 2022.
The organizer is the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), this year’s organizer is the Center National d’Études Spatiales (CNES), the French space agency. 6,500 trade visitors and 250 exhibitors have registered for the five-day congress.
Actually, the IAC should have taken place in France in 2021, because of Corona the congress planned for 2020 was canceled or was only held as a virtual version: 71. International Astronautical Congress (IAC) – The CyberSpace Edition. The sequence of the annual congresses, which usually always take place in a different country, has been postponed by one year. The 72nd Congress, originally planned for 2020, took place in Dubai in 2021.

Due to the applicable sanctions, the Russian representatives are barred from participating.
