This was the President’s first message to the Nation Macky Sall since the legislative elections of July 31, marked by a strong breakthrough of the opposition. ” The composition of the new Assembly reflects the freedom and plurality of our choices “, declared the Head of State, Friday, September 16 in the evening, insisting on ” national unity » et « living it together » :

« I deeply regret the incidents that occurred on the occasion of the election of the office of the National Assembly. The distressing spectacle to which some have engaged in the enclosure of the national representation is of an extreme gravity, unworthy of a major democracy and unworthy of the confidence of the people. »

The appointment of the Prime Minister – waited for eight months – will therefore finally be announced this Saturday, September 17. Some were left hungry. Macky Sall simply indicated the main directions of the future government:

« Measures to reduce the cost of living and support for employment and entrepreneurship of young people, the fight once morest floods, the high cost of rent will remain for me the priority of priorities. »

« Extensive consultations are planned with all stakeholders, in particular consumer associations and traders “, assured the President of the Republic.
