Samarkand (Uzbekistan) ∙ After nine months of war in Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin wants the conflict to end. Putin made the announcement during a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Shanghai Cooperation Summit.
He knows India’s position and concerns in the war. Putin said he will do his best to end it as soon as possible and will let him know what is happening there. ‘This is no time for war. I have spoken to you regarding this over the phone. An opportunity has been given to discuss how to proceed on the path of peace. India and Russia have been standing together on this issue for decades,” Putin said.
Putin did not forget to wish Modi, who celebrates his birthday on Saturday. Apart from the Ukraine issue, regional and global issues were discussed, according to reports.
