A kitchen with an English pub look

The owner wanted her kitchen to evoke an upscale English pub. It took designer Damon Fox six months of work to create this gleaming space that makes you want to have an aperitif!

A color that makes it pop!, shiny metal, and wood to warm it all up: this is the skilful mix of ingredients that makes this freshly renovated kitchen vibrate.

Dressed in white marble and solid walnut, the large-format island serves both as a worktop and a dining area for two people. The upper cabinets – inspired by the doors of Hermès boutiques – are adorned with handcrafted metal mesh panels.

The strong points

  • Industrial-influenced elements – the fridge painted a bold electric blue, bistro-style faucets and pendant lights – complete the bar aesthetic of this kitchen.
  • Solid walnut cabinets counterbalance the coldness and shine of the metal. The luxury is in the details: even the inside of the drawers is made in this essence.
  • The huge French windows with a black metal frame bring a very urban side to this composition worthy of the prettiest English pubs.
