Jeddah: The Ministry will take action once morest companies that do not comply with the recruitment rates of domestic workers in Saudi Arabia. For recruitment the contract should be signed only through Munazid platform. The ministry also stated that the comprehensive insurance scheme for domestic workers is in the final stage.
The Ministry of Manpower and Social Development announced yesterday the maximum rates that recruitment companies and institutions are allowed to charge for bringing domestic workers from certain countries to Saudi Arabia. Ministry spokesperson Saad Aluhamad said that institutions that do not comply with the rates set by the ministry will be closed. He said that the aim is to educate Saudi citizens and business owners regarding the government’s implementation of projects that benefit everyone by setting maximum rates for recruitment and taking punitive measures once morest non-compliant businesses.
Saudi nationals must sign contracts with recruitment companies and offices to recruit and deliver domestic workers only through the Ministry’s Musanid platform for domestic worker recruitment processes. The move to implement comprehensive insurance for domestic workers is in the final stages. He said that the insurance decision will benefit both employers and workers.
