Inside and outside the court… A film about the famous trial of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard

The British “Independent” website announced that the trial between Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard is set to become the subject of a new movie in the near future.

In details, the movie will be titled Hot Take: The Depp / Heard Trial, and will be broadcast exclusively on the Tubi streaming service.

Actor Mark Hapka will portray Johnny Depp in the upcoming film, which follows the former couple’s turbulent relationship on and off court. Actress Melissa Marty will play Depp’s attorney, Camille Vasquez, and Mary Carig will play Amber Heard’s attorney, Elaine Breedhoft.

The film, directed by Sarah Lohmann and written by Guy Nicolucci, is scheduled to be released on September 30 in the United States.

Depp is reported to have sued Heard for $50 million for allegedly mistreating her in an op-ed published by The Washington Post in 2018. The two-month trial ended on September 1, with the jury siding with Depp, finding that Heard had tarnished his reputation throughout the charges brought once morest her.
