Unreasonable: “The waiting period for a pregnant woman in jurisprudence is 4 years, although it has been scientifically proven to be impossible”! • Al Marsad newspaper

Al-Marsad newspaper: Saudi researcher Nasser Al-Hazimi commented, during an intervention on the “Symposium” program on Al-Arabiya channel, that the waiting period for a pregnant woman is 4 years, despite the scientifically proven impossibility of her pregnancy for more than 9 months.

Al-Huzaimi said, I wish to amend the hadiths, for now there is a lot of talk regarding developing fiqh, but this development is not just issues.

And he continued, the jurisprudence must be developed through the texts of colleges, for example, when the Messenger, peace be upon him, comes and says, “You know your worldly affairs.” In this case, everything that contradicts this text will be considered.

And he added, and one of the issues that must be considered is the issue of “the waiting period of a pregnant woman.” It is not reasonable for medicine to confirm that a woman cannot become pregnant for more than 9 months, and the jurists come and say “the waiting period of a pregnant woman is 4 years.” This is not possible and must develop jurisprudence through texts. colleges.
