In which mayor’s offices is there a dry law on September 15 and 16?

Xochimilco

In the Mayor Xochimilco there will be dry law in the national holidays. “The suspension of activities for the sale of alcoholic beverages is ordered in all its graduations, from 00:00 hours and until 23:59 hours, on September 15 and 16 of the year two thousand and twenty-two”, detailed the mayor’s office in the Official Gazette of Mexico City.

“Violations of this agreement will be sanctioned in accordance with the provisions of the Law of Commercial Establishments for Mexico City and other applicable regulations,” the text adds.

In addition, it will have dry law during other weekends, due to the patron saint festivities:

  • Patronal festival in honor of the Virgen de los Dolores in the Xaltocan neighborhood on September 15 and 16.
  • Patronal festival in honor to Saint Gregory in the Town de San Gregorio Atlapulco del September 01 to 12.
  • Patronal festival in honor of the virgin mary in the town of Santa Maria Nativitas del September 6 to 10.
  • Patronal festival in honor of Saint Matthew in the town of San Mateo Xalpa del September 19 to 23.

Establishments with a neighborhood and zonal impact that dispatch prepared food and that have authorization for the sale of alcoholic beverages by the glass, are exempt from this measure.

Tlalpan

In Tlalpan there will also be restrictions on the sale of alcohol. According to the Official Gazette of Mexico City, alcoholic beverages may not be sold at all graduations from 00:00 on September 15 until 24:00 on 16.

This restrictive measure will apply to wineries, grocery stores, supermarkets with a license to sell wines and spirits, self-service stores, department stores, shopping centers and any other similar commercial establishment; as well as in establishments with a neighborhood impact such as clubs, canteens, pulquerías, breweries, peñas, cabarets, nightclubs, discos, dance halls and movie theaters.

Tlahuac

In the Tlahuac Mayor’s Office The sale of alcoholic beverages of any strength in commercial establishments and itinerant businesses that are temporarily installed on public roads will also be prohibited.

“Such as wineries, grocery stores, supermarkets with a license for the sale of wines and spirits, self-service stores, department stores and any other similar commercial establishment in which alcoholic beverages of any strength are sold, including home delivery or take-out. , in which alcoholic beverages are marketed or given away,” detailed the Tláhuac government in the Official Gazette of Mexico City.

“As well as cantinas, pulquerías, bars, breweries, clubs, cabarets, nightclubs, discotheques, dance halls and any other similar, or those that are temporarily installed on the public road for the occasion of that festivity,” the text added.

Establishments where the free sale and sale of alcoholic beverages are allowed inside fairs, pilgrimages, kermeses, popular celebrations and other places where similar events are held will be suspended.

And only commercial establishments with a neighborhood impact that sell prepared food (not snacks) that are authorized to sell alcoholic beverages by the glass, only during the hours indicated in their permits, will be exempt from the restriction.
