Jeddah: After the Covid period, football fields are active in Saudi Arabia under the leadership of Malayalis. Apart from major cities like Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, various football tournaments have already been held in other regions under Malayali associations.

Under various associations like Blue Star, Seven Star, Football Lovers Club, Kannamangalam Mass Relief Cell, Navodaya, Yambuil Indian Football Association, Youth India, Youths Group, Madina City Brothers Arts and Sports Club, Khameez Mushait, FIFA Football Club, Lawshore Welfare Committee etc. in Jeddah. The tournaments are over. In Jeddah, Heroes FC Al-Jaweed Super Cup Sevens Football Tournament will be held at Amir Fawaz Stadium on Thursday at 12:00 PM.

The ‘Soccer Carnival 2022’ sevens football tournament organized by ‘Gulf Madhyam’ will also be held at Jeddah Matar Ghadeem Sababiya Floodlit Stadium on Friday at 7pm.

A football tournament has been organized in Jeddah in recent days under KMCC. Officials of SIF announced that the football tournament organized by the Saudi Indian Football Forum (SIF), the largest Malayalee football association in Saudi Arabia, will start in December.

As in previous years, the tournament will be held at the stadium under the Saudi Ministry of Education, Faisaliah, Jeddah.

Officials informed that the Indian teams of 32 clubs registered in CIF in four divisions will compete in the CIF tournament this time as well. The tournament, which will last for almost three months, will feature various players from international and national football competitions.

Defending champions Sabeen FC, runners-up Makkah Indian FC, ACC, Real Kerala, Bluestar, Blasters FC, Friends Jeddah, Town Team, Yas Club, Falcon FC Thuwal, Rehab FC Many clubs like Yambu will come to Goda this time too. More than 1000 players are registered in CIF in various teams. Indian students who are undergoing training under various football academies in Jeddah will play in the junior division of the tournament.
