Tang Mingde, Director of Political Warfare of the Special Operations Department, pointed out that in addition to basic parachute training, all officers and soldiers of the Special Warfare Headquarters must further undergo special terrain skydiving training commonly known as “Tiehan Umbrella”, wearing special protective equipment and landing in Including complex terrain such as mountains, jungles, and sea surfaces, high-altitude platoons have high-altitude parachute training. The landing part of the complex terrain parachute training was carried out in Dapeng Bay, Pingtung. Today is the first echelon. The day following tomorrow, there will be 18 parachute trainees who will perform sea skydiving once more.

The military pointed out that all kinds of special terrain skydiving have their own dangers. Special operations officers and soldiers will be equipped with different equipment depending on the skydiving task and terrain. Taking sea skydiving as an example, the instructors will require that the officers and soldiers are in the air in order. Unzip the body strap, untie the auxiliary umbrella hook, adjust the saddle, and untie the chest strap and leg strap; immediately leave the umbrella when it touches the water surface, so as to avoid being entangled by the umbrella and in danger of drowning. The sea is wider and wider. It is difficult to identify the land and shore reference points. Officers and soldiers must remain sober and calm, and act according to the instructions of the commander of the army.
