Three-year-old Lisa will long remember her family vacation in Italy. But not for a happy memory: the girl was strangled by another child on a playground, tell her parents to Het Laatste Nieuws. Most strikingly, the six-year-old boy who assaulted Lisa strangled her with a Huggy Wuggy stuffed animal.
“Our daughter is a very happy, social child who likes to play. She is not at all shy”, explains Stef, the girl’s father. That’s why the parents had let her play with other children on a playground during their vacation, while keeping an eye on her. “Unfortunately, it took our distraction for a few seconds for a little boy to attempt to strangle her with a Huggy Wuggy stuffed animal, when she was trying to get off the slide. The boy held her so tightly around his neck that Lisa mightn’t even call for help. It must have lasted 5 to 10 seconds, following which the boy had no strength left to hold her,” Stef continues.
When her parents arrived near her right following the assault, Lisa’s neck was all red and they decided to go to the doctor anyway.
