Pandalam ∙ A man has been arrested on the complaint of forcing a housewife by putting a cloth in her mouth. Shaji (wife – 45) was arrested at Kumbaza house north of Kadaikkad. The incident took place on Saturday night at nine o’clock. The complaint is that following making sure that no one else was there, he came home and forcibly tortured the housewife. The complaint also states that he stuffed a cloth in his mouth to stop making noise.
The housewife did not disclose the information due to fear. However, on Monday he returned and asked that he would come with the car and come with him. They were alarmed by this and lodged a complaint with the police. A police team led by SHO S. Sreekumar nabbed the accused from Adoor.
