A lot happens in 20 minutes. Sony took advantage of its State of Play to unveil several games that will be released on PlayStation 5 and PSVR 2… but that’s not all. The Japanese firm also took advantage of having all eyes on it to remind you that its loyalty program, called PlayStation Sars, is coming soon.

Loyalty and skill rewarded

Being a member of PlayStation Stars gives access to loyalty points that can be won in different ways, points that can be spent in a catalog unlocking a few euros to spend on the PSN, or even outright items from the PlayStation Store. The subscribers PlayStation Plus, they will automatically earn points by making online purchases. This system of quests to complete and rewarded purchases recalls that of the Microsoft Rewards, Microsoft’s loyalty program that allows certain regular players to pay for their Game Pass subscription only by completing missions. PlayStation Stars will also introduce non-NFT digital collectibles. These virtual items are designed for fans of the Japanese brand with 3D figurines of heroes beloved by PlayStation fans, but also 3D objects inspired by the history of the brand.
