Al-Marsad newspaper: Ibtisam Al-Shehri, the spokesperson for public education, revealed the reasons for approving the three-semester system in the educational process
Al-Shehri said, during her appearance on the Ya Hala program, that the Kingdom’s ranking in the quality of education must be compatible with the great support provided for this purpose, so the process of change and development was necessary.
She added that the ministry conducted many researches and studies, between two, three and four chapters, and the three-semester system was optimal, following consulting experts and specialists, other than the comparative studies between each system to find out the negatives and positives.
The spokeswoman added that workshops were held for male and female teachers within the “Experiences” program, and international experiences were examined, and in the end, the three-semester system was settled, such as Britain, Germany and the UAE.
Ibtisam Al-Shehri concluded her speech, that the three-semester system has a major role in improving the outcomes of the learning process, other than that any change process initially faces some difficult and exhausting challenges.
