Hospital Central Universitario celebrates its 125th anniversary with nursing and medicine conferences

The Ministry of Health, through the Central University Hospital “Dr. Jesús Enrique Grajeda Herrera”, celebrates the 125th anniversary of the foundation of this hospital through various activities of presentation of papers, recitals and a photographic exhibition.

At the inaugural event, Secretary Felipe Sandoval Magallanes highlighted the importance of working for the health of patients, as well as collaboration in the training of generations of doctors.

He pointed out that the objective of providing quality care to patients through a human sense has been met, and recognized the role played by the nursing and administrative areas for proper functioning.

The director of the Central University Hospital, Eréndira Martínez Anchondo, commented on the most significant moments in the history of the hospital and highlighted the initiative to create the School of Nursing.

In addition, he recognized the hard work that the nursing staff has done in support of this institution, and urged those who are part of this area to continue with the commitment to the health of citizens.

As part of the commemorative activities, yesterday, Monday, nursing conferences were held with the topics: “Evolution for advanced treatment for chronic wound healing”, “The evolution of nursing staff” and “The Nursing at the Central Hospital: past, present and future”.

For today, Tuesday, September 13, several talks were scheduled by the medical staff and a photographic exhibition is presented in the hospital facilities.

On Wednesday the 14th, the closing will be held with a concert by the Symphony Orchestra of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, in the University Paraninfo at 8:00 p.m.

The protocol event was attended by the medical director of the Ministry of Health, Edwin Acxel Martínez Murguía, and the administrative director of the Chihuahuan Institute of Health, Gilberto Baeza Mendoza.
