Broadcast on Sunday evening, the program entitled “Scams, money and politics: the real business of influencers” has been widely commented on social networks. The magazine revealed behind the scenes of the profession of influencers, where (ex-) stars of reality TV promote sometimes unsavory products to earn a few thousand euros.
Long questioned by Tristan Waleckx at the end of the program, Magali Berdah had to justify some rather shady product placements. When the journalist asked her regarding connected watches that might be found much cheaper elsewhere, asking her if she was wearing the object she had promoted, her response was somewhat surprising. “Yes, I’ve already worn it, shown it connected. There, I have tendonitis in my arm…“, she retorted.
An argument that hit the mark … on social networks, where his response was largely diverted.
Asked regarding this sequence by Brut, Magali Berdah believes that it was misunderstood. “I have several watches. Sometimes I put on one. Sometimes I put on the other. Everyone is free to do what they want. And then I wanted to say: I have tendonitis on the arm and wearing a connected watch, that helps me.(…) I wanted to say that connected watches, people who have tendonitis, it helps us not to carry the phone and not to have hand all the time, that’s it… It was in that sense that I wanted to say it, so sorry if I was not very clear”.
