Many of us think that the right sleep is when we go to bed early, but there are many dangerous things you do before bed without knowing you 7 things to avoid before bed.
First: Do not use any smart device while you are in bed. Studies confirm that the blue and white light emitted by digital screens prevents the brain from secreting the hormone melatonin, which allows your body to recognize the correct time of sleep.
Second: Do not take sleeping pills, unless you are already suffering from insomnia, and following consulting a doctor. Sleeping pills have side effects related to muscle weakness and memory, and their abuse may turn into an addiction that is difficult to get rid of later.
Third: Do not drink alcohol before bed, as it can make you feel a little drowsy, but it will wake you up in the middle of sleep following the stomach completes its digestion cycle.
Fourth: Do not occupy yourself while you are in bed with what you should be preoccupied with while you are in your office, for the bed is not a place to work. Experts advise that the bedroom be for sleeping only.
Fifth: Stay away from caffeine following five in the evening. One study found that consuming 400 milligrams of caffeine six hours before bedtime disrupted sleep. Also, those who consume caffeine a few hours before going to bed have insufficient sleep hours.
Sixth: Avoid fatty meals before bed, as this behavior would harm the quality of sleep, whether in terms of the number of hours or waking up from time to time. And if your stomach “pinch” late at night, take pills.
Seventh: Do not exercise before bed. Several studies have proven that the high body temperature that a person gains from playing sports exercises hinders the body from falling asleep. Experts recommend light exercises such as yoga that help relax.
