On the 12th, the last day of the Chuseok holiday, a large roller coaster suddenly stopped working at Everland, an amusement park in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do. The passengers were isolated for regarding 10 minutes before evacuating.
According to Everland, one of the main rides, the T Express, suddenly stopped at regarding 20 meters above the ground around noon on the same day.
About 30 passengers were isolated for regarding 10 minutes and then came down using the stairs installed on the rides with the help of staff. Fortunately, there were no injuries.
Afterwards, Everland inspected the ride and confirmed that there was nothing wrong, and resumed operation following 4 hours.
Everland said, “It has been determined that the safety monitoring sensor of the appliance stopped operating.
