In this medieval jewel that is the castle of Valangin, there is a grand piano which was reduced to silence this summer for a restoration carried out by the workshops of the Hug Musique house. Now restored to good condition, its enchanting notes are regarding to resonate once more, thanks to the hands of Neuchâtel pianist Véronique Gobet.
On Fasting Monday, September 19, an inaugural recital will take place in the sumptuous Salle des Chevaliers of the château. Music lovers will be able to listen to many of the most famous piano works there, such as Mozart’s Turkish March, one of Franz Liszt’s Rêves d’amour or even Debussy’s Clair de lune. Ravel, Prokofiev, Rachmaninoff and Chopin will also be on the menu.
During the weekend preceding this concert, the piansite will give small concerts at private homes, which will have brought together friends and families around their instrument, experiences that it leads in different regions of Switzerland throughout the month of September.
