Do Kyung-wan made a surprise appearance at MBC’s ‘Dads Who Came Over Water’, a global parenting community meeting, and supported MC Jang Yoon-jung.
The MBC Chuseok special ‘Dads from across the water’ (directed by Im Chan), aired on the 11th, was decorated as a global childcare neighborhood meeting with Korean father Do Kyung-wan.

Do Kyung-wan made a surprise appearance at the parenting community to help MC wife Jang Yoon-jeong on Chuseok. Appearing with a songpyeon, he said, “Do Kyung-wan raising the children Yeon-woo and Ha-young of this program’s MC,” causing laughter. He also said, “I lost regarding 15 kg of weight,” and mightn’t hide his happy smile at the reaction that he resembled singer Ha Dong-gyun.
Do Kyung-wan said, “The first Yeon-woo resembles my appearance, and the second Ha-yeong has the same personality as my mother’s.” In particular, he said, “I feel sorry for children who have busy mothers. So, I go camping with my children in various areas, and sometimes the campground owners see him as a man with a story.”
He continued, “When I go camping with my mother, the children say, ‘Is your mother cut off?’ Then, Jang Yoon-jung said, “Kyung-wan told her children, ‘She’s not a cutie’.”
Do Kyung-wan also expressed a sense of identity with foreign fathers (?). He said, “I know the heart of raising a child abroad. Because I am also raising an angel and a child in heaven..” He embarrassed everyone with a different level of humor. MC In Gyo-jin asked if her wife So Yi-hyun would monitor the broadcast, and she said, “Why are you so depressed?” So Yi-hyun won’t be in the studio, will he?” she said nervously, causing her to burst into laughter.

In addition, they made and ate holiday food together, played the traditional Indian game ludo, and spent the holiday season in harmony with Korean and Indian culture.
During a family meal, Jang Yoon-jung and Do Kyung-wan, Tomool’s daughter, Dana, shouted, “Give me water!” Do Kyung-wan said, “During the day, children say ‘Give me water,’ and at night, Jang Yoon-jung ‘Give me a drink!’ Do” he revealed (?). Jang Yoon-jung said, “It’s what Do Kyung-wan asks for when he moves,” and she boasted of her chemistry.
Foreign fathers shared the holiday culture of each country. Azerbaijani father Nihat said, “I think of the day when spring comes as a new year. There is a ceremony to jump over the campfire during Nobruz, which will be held on March 20-21.”
Holidays are fun days, but there are many people who complain of ‘holiday stress’. Italian father Alberto said, “I first heard the word ‘holiday stress’ in Korea.” Tomoul introduced different cultures, saying, “In India, people give gifts, not money. Parents don’t ask for pocket money.”
Do Kyung-wan said, “When it comes to holidays, Jang Yoon-jung goes home and it’s a little lonely.” On the other hand, Jang Yoon-jung said, “She listens to all the results of broadcasting monitoring that day,” and she revealed an episode loved by the whole family.
Chinese father Zhao Lijing prepared a 100-day feast for his son Hyeonu. Jia Ori Jing made water dumplings and Jangsumyeon with her daughter Haneul affectionately, and Jang Yoon-jung, who saw this, asked Do Kyung-wan, “Isn’t it good if Ha-young grows up soon?” Then Do Kyung-wan said, “I wish I didn’t grow up. It seems that the short tongue sounds will disappear next year. She wipes her mouth when Ha-young kisses her with me,” she said, expressing the sadness she feels as she sees her growing child.
Afterwards, Zhao Li-jing decorated the 100-day Korean-Chinese Cultural Collaboration Award for Hyeonu with the delivered rice cakes and ornaments. Hyeonu, the main character of the party, appeared in traditional Chinese clothes and was loved by the whole family. Hyeonu made a smile by taking a commemorative photo while wearing a gold ring and necklace.
At this time, Jang Yoon-jung said, “The gold ring that Yeon-woo received melted. Too many came in, so I made a gold bar.” He confessed, bewildered Do Kyung-wan, making everyone laugh.
Foreign fathers shared a culture of celebrating the birth of a baby. “China celebrates the full moon, which is one month following birth,” explained Zhao Lijing. Tumul and Nihat said they would hold a party on the 27th and 40th days of the baby’s birth in India and Azerbaijan, respectively. Nihat said, “No outsiders should come to the house until 40 days ago. It is to take care of the health of the child and to let the child know the parents.”
Do Kyung-wan, who shared his thoughts on parenting with foreign fathers by sharing the holiday holidays and the culture of celebrating the birth of a baby, said, “I feel like I met a multinational comrade.”
