Dr. Salwa Abdullah Al-Hazaa, Senior Consultant in Ophthalmology and Consultant in Genetic Diseases, revealed that; That the reason for the spread of genetic diseases in the Gulf region in general, and the Kingdom in particular; is marriage between relatives; This led to the accumulation of genetic diseases and their transmission from one generation to the next, until it reached more than 3,500 genetic cases in the eyes that were examined and followed up during 27 years of diligent and continuous work in her clinic.
