The sixth-generation Honda CR-V was officially announced in the US in July, and the US market will offer a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and a 2.0-liter Sport Hybrid gasoline-electric hybrid system. Now the plug-in Hybrid, the third power unit of the car series, has been officially exposed in China’s official information. In terms of appearance, the CR-V e:PHEV continues the design of the US-spec model, with a shape similar to the Ridgeline truck, which is relatively rough and powerful. With the slightly elongated headlights, it gives a very distinct visual impression. Compared with the previous generation, the body size is slightly enlarged. It’s not a big change, but it’s enough to make the 6th-generation CR-V the largest generation yet.

In terms of power, the new CR-V e:PHEV is equipped with a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine with a maximum output of 110kW (regarding 150 horsepower), code-named LFB16, compared to the current CR-V sharp. The code-named LFB13 used by the hybrid e+ has a slight increase of regarding 4 hp. The motor part adopts a front axle single motor system with a maximum power of 135kW (regarding 184 horsepower), which is matched with a ternary lithium battery pack from CATL and an ECVT gearbox.

Dongfeng Honda is expected to officially launch the sixth-generation CR-V 1.5-liter turbo-powered model in China at the end of September, although the gasoline-electric and e:PHEV versions may be a little later.
