Several masked and armed individuals robbed the workshop of a subcontractor of the Louis Vuitton leather goods maker in Monthou-sur-Cher (Loir-et-Cher) overnight from Wednesday to Thursday, stealing around 300 luxury bags, announced Saturday the prosecutor of the Republic of Blois.
The value of the damage represents 120,000 euros in material terms, but the value of the loot was estimated at “several hundred thousand euros on resale”, said prosecutor Charlotte Beluet.

According to the prosecution, the burglars threatened and overpowered the caretaker before breaking into a workshop safe with a grinder. The operation lasted regarding ten minutes. The goalkeeper “was not physically injured,” the magistrate told AFP.
The investigation was entrusted to the Orleans research section and the Central Office for the Fight once morest Itinerant Delinquency (OCLDI).
