The Ministry of Health of Chubut participated this week in the “1st Provincial Meeting of Original Women”, in “Homage to Bartolina Sisa”, which was held in the city of Rawson, in the facilities of the Provincial Cultural Center, and within the framework of which it developed various health promotion and prevention activities, such as the presentation of the Mapuche translation of posters and graphic material related to Healthy Eating campaigns.
The activity, which brought together women from different parts of the province, also had the participation of the new Minister of Health from Chubut, Miryám Monasterolo, who together with other officials led the opening ceremony.
The meeting was organized by the provincial government, through the coordinated and intersectoral work of different agencies, such as the Ministries of Health, Education, Government and Justice and Social Development, Family, Women and Youth; and coincided with the celebration of the “International Day of Native Women”, which is commemorated every September 5.

During the meeting, the Ministry of Health, led by Miryám Monasterolo, presented, through the Provincial Directorate for Health Promotion and Prevention, the Mapuche translation of posters and graphic material related to Healthy Eating campaigns.
In addition, it had a stand for the promotion of different healthy habits, in terms of food, rest and physical activity, even coordinating the realization of an Active Pause with the participants of the event.
ANCESTRAL CULINARY RECIPES
Likewise, it carried out the registration of a survey aimed at revealing eating habits and customs by the original communities, compiling ancestral culinary recipes that allow enriching future health campaigns.
VACCINATION
On the other hand, it carried out actions to promote vaccination, which were carried out by personnel from the “Santa Teresita” Subzonal Hospital in Rawson.
