1000 Crore Fraud: Real Estate Businessman Arrested | Sushil Mantri arrested

Bengaluru: Prominent Karnataka builder Sushil Mantri has been arrested in a case of diverting more than Rs 1000 crores collected from customers for construction of flats for other projects. He is the founder chairman and MD of Mantri Developers, a real estate firm. He was remanded in judicial custody till tomorrow. After 7-10 years, the customers were complaining regarding not getting the flat. Many of the projects of Mantri Developers have stopped midway.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Sushil and interrogated him in June on a complaint that he had not repaid Rs 1,000 crore out of which he had borrowed Rs 5,000 crore from banks using fake documents.
