This Saturday, September 10, the meeting between FC Barcelona and Cadiz, counting for the 5th day of La Liga, was interrupted in the 82nd minute of play. The reason? A person present in the stands felt unwell.
The stadium announcer announced via the loudspeakers that the match was interrupted, but did not specify whether it would resume or not. Previously, the Argentinian goalkeeper of Cadiz, Jeremias Ledesma, had been seen running a defibrillator towards the stand to rescue the victim. Blaugrana defender Ronald Araujo began to pray on the pitch.
Under the gaze of the players, still present on the lawn, the person was taken care of by the rescuers.
At the time of the interruption, FC Barcelona were leading 2-0 thanks to goals from Frenkie de Jong (55′) and Robert Lewandowski (65′).
