The maximum price for a liter of 95 petrol will drop to 1.69 euros, while 98 petrol (E5) will sell for 1.92 euros per litre, down one cent.
Due to soaring energy prices, the government introduced a reduction in excise duty on fuels in March. The measure initially ran until September, but the authorities decided at the end of August to extend it until March inclusive.
This reduction in excise duties was introduced with the so-called ratchet system. As the price of gasoline 95 (E10) fell below the threshold of 1.7 euros, the excise duty on gasoline will increase with each drop. Saturday therefore, the rate of special excise duty on gasoline increases by 33.05 euros per thousand liters, for a total rate of 488.58 euros per thousand liters.
On Saturday once more, the price of fuel oil will drop by four cents. For an order of less than 2,000 liters of heating diesel (extra fuel oil), each liter will be negotiated at 1.3 euros and for an order exceeding this threshold, the price will be 1.27 euros per litre.
The maximum prices for conventional heating oil (50S heating oil) will experience the same change. A liter of this fuel will cost 1.28 euros for an order of less than 2,000 liters, and 1.25 euros for a quantity exceeding 2,000 liters.
