Auchan, Lidl, Carrefour, Monoprix, Intermarché… Ice cream recalled throughout France

the essential
Ice cream is the subject of a product recall across France due to dangerous chemical ingredients.

As the RappelConso site reports, several Häagen-Dazs brand ice creams are recalled by different brands throughout France. These would contain 2-Chloroethano in the vanilla ingredient. Too much of this chemical compound can pose a health risk.

The products concerned were marketed between March 8, 2022 and September 8, 2022. These ice creams are sold in many stores such as Auchan, Carrefour, Casino, Franprix, Intermarché, Lidl, Monoprix, Picard or Système U. The list of products and relevant stores is available ici.

It is recommended not to consume the product and to dispose of it if you are in possession of it. A refund procedure is scheduled until Wednesday, November 9, 2022.
