India’s Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra has withdrawn from the 36th National Games. The actor is staying away from the National Games to rest. Neeraj said through social media that his body needs rest as he has participated in consecutive competitions.
“As per the schedule, the Diamond League is my last match of the year. The dates of the National Games have been announced recently. Coach Dr. Klaus Burtonitz asked me to rest. The Asian Games and the World Championships are coming next season. Be prepared for it. So not participating in the National Games. Neeraj Chopra said.
The National Games will be held in Gujarat from September 29 to October 12. The matches will be held in 12 venues.
