The photographer, who took the last picture of the late Queen Elizabeth, recounted what happened behind the scenes before the entry of the new British Prime Minister Liz Terrace.
Barlow said she was sent to Balmoral to photograph the Queen receiving the new Prime Minister, and before the Prime Minister arrived, I spent a few moments with Her Majesty.
Photographer Jane Barlow of the British Press Association said: “The Queen was smiling and very happy and confirmed that she was able to take more than one picture of the Queen while she was smiling,” according to what was published by the newspaper “Daily Mail”.
The photographer spoke regarding the details of the moments before the arrival of the new prime minister; She said, “She went to Balmoral to photograph the reception of the new Prime Minister, and before her arrival, the late Queen was very smiling and then we moved to the reception site, and there was some time before the announcement of the arrival of Liz Truss, we talked regarding the weather.”
She added: “The Queen commented on how dark it was outside because there were clouds covering the sky, and she seemed to be in very good spirits.”
Describing the meeting, the photographer continued that the late queen “was obviously very weak, but she was very happy and smiling.”
The photographer ended her speech by saying, “It was a beautiful moment while we were waiting for those few minutes; The Queen looked up and smiled, and now the photo is even more moving because it’s one of the last pictures ever taken of her.
The British photographer had published the final picture of the Queen through her personal account on the Instagram website, just two days before her death.
