The acclaimed sound event founded in Barcelona will begin its transatlantic adventure, for the first time in Los Angeles, California, from September 16 to 18, with performances by Lorde, Nine Inch Nails and Arctic Monkeys.
With a history of two decades organically focused on the music industry, the consecrated Primavera Sound festival, conceived in Barcelona, Spain, will cross the Atlantic to extend its legacy in America, and propose the experience of the Catalan sound encounter in Los Angeles, California from Friday September 16 to Sunday September 18 with Australian singer-songwriter Lorde, Ohio rock band Nine Inch Nails, and British group Arctic Monkeys headlining the three days, respectively.
Characterized as a parity and plural cast in terms of genre and music, the first edition of the sound meeting to be held at the LA State Historic State Park, also stands out for the participation of the Mexican Little Jesus, in addition to the Venezuelan Arca, the Puerto Ricans Buscabulla, the Colombian-Americans Divino Niño, the Chilean Paloma Mami and the Argentines El Mató a un Policia Motorizado, who are part of the more than 60 concerts of Primavera Sound Los Angeles 2022
Primavera’s new transatlantic adventure will be less than three hours from the Baja California border, where it will live among record parties that are committed to vinyl culture, with the intention of integrating into the region’s cultural scene to feed off each other, as well as with the local cuisine, and the nurturing Latino community.
Without forgetting the sound experience of James Blake, Mitski, Cigarettes After Sex, Khruangbin, Stereolab, Clairo, girl in red, Giveon or King Krule, Primavera Sound Los Angeles is synonymous with contemporary music.
